Test and Trials….Oh My!

Greeting my blog family and friends. How many of you are ready to ace the test and have victory during the trial? I know I am. If while you’re on this Christian journey, and you have never been through any tough or trying times, get ready, because at some point you will. A test is a procedure to establish the quality or reliability of something, especially before it is taken into widespread use. As Christians, we are to tell the world about the goodness of our Lord and savior. Shout to the world that he’s a healer, a deliverer, a way maker, a protector, the giver of peace, and a savior! How can I know that I know he’s all these things and more if I never needed his help myself. A trial is a person, thing, or situation that test a person’s endurance or forbearance. Which means can we endure long-suffering and do we have patience.

The trial I’m facing, may not be the same trial you’re facing. The test I’m determined to pass may not be the test before you right now. But the amazing thing is that as children of God we are destined to win. As Jesus is so are we. God created us in his image. Victory is in our DNA! 1 John 4:4 says “Ye are of God little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” One definition for an overcomer is to be a warrior. We must take test and face trials like entering into war, because most test and trials are battles. 1 Peter 4:12(amplified) says “ Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality.” We are developed through test and trials. These test and trials before us are to test our Christian characteristics, not test our gangster, not to see if we are weak and definitely not to break us or take us under. Some test and trials will sweep us off our feet and bring us to our knees. Some test and trials will send us into immediate prayer just so we can maintain our composer and not say or do anything we may regret later. Some test and trials will call for fasting and prayer to get a breakthrough . Do I believe God will put no more on us than we can bear? Yes! Yes I do. I stand on Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” What ever is before me, Christ has empowered me with his strength to bear it. It may seem like you’re about to lose your mind, it may even seem your next breath may be your last. But guess what? You’re still here. Right here reading that God will never leave you or forsake you. While going through what ever you may be facing, it may be sickness, death of a loved one, betrayal, depression, loss of a job, whatever it may be, remember God is right there. Isaiah 41:13 say “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not, I will help the.” God himself will hold our hand and help us through. The Holy Ghost is there as well. He’s there to lead, guide and give us the words to speak. The Holy Ghost if we allow him, will give us prayers to pray to bring us peace and freedom.

I encourage you, pass the test, stand through the trial and claim your victory. Pray asking God daily to give you the wisdom and strength needed to overcome every obstacle. Speak peace to the storm in your life. Command the mountain blocking you to move in Jesus name. Let the devil know that this is the day God has made I will rejoice and be glad in it. If God be for us than who or what can be against us. Be blessed and victorious.

  1. Awesome!!! Test and Trials aren’t always easy, neither are they fun to go through. But the Spirit of God leads, guides, and directs you through. As the scripture says, lean on God and not our own understanding and acknowledge him in all our ways. Even before the trial or test begin, victory is ours through and by Jesus Christ. Glory to God! This blessed me this Monday Morning!! Thank You Evangelist Davis 🙂
