Hello my blog family and friends. This is the day the Lord has made so rejoice and be glad in it. Rejoice that you woke up this morning, rejoice you’re in your right mind, rejoice you have clothes on your back and food to eat. So many in this world, so many in my city, and in your city, don’t have these very things that we take for granted. Not realizing it’s a blessing to be able to inhale and exhale on your own. We all should be glad we’re still in our right mind with the daily test and trials we all face. Overjoyed that we have clothes, shoes, and a roof over our head. I’m very grateful, because it could have been me without these very things. It was by the grace of God I made it and by his grace and mercy I’m still making it. At some point in most of our lives, we all can say “It could have been me”, just refuse to give up, refuse to give in.
Over the weekend the phrase “it could have been me” was used by one of my friends. I can truly say, if it had not been for the Lord where would I be? If it had not been for the hedge of protection my Mother prayed over me, where would I be? Have I ever been without? Yes. If without what is what you’re wondering, the answer is everything. Have I ever lost a job? Yes. Have I ever wondered how I was going to pay my bills? Yes. Have I ever felt like I can no longer take it or make it? Yes! I’m sure some of you have had to deal with some if not all of these things as well. My advice would be, keep on believing, keep on praying, keep on thanking him for it, even before you see the manifestation of what you need. Never give up never give in. Remember, God is a provider for his children. Matthew 6:30-33 reads, Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. He knows everything we need and will make provision for those that call on him. Will it happen overnight? Will it happen this week or next week? I don’t know. What I do know is, God will never leave or forsake his own. God is not an absentee parent. We must get to know our Father, not just praying and calling on his name only when we’re in need or when trouble arise. The same bond you created with your earthly parents by talking with them, spending time with them, showing them you love them, that’s the same bond you need with your heavenly father. If you don’t spend time with God, you don’t know him or his ways. You know of him and of his ways. You only know what you heard. Take out time to know the one who knows all and sees all. Get to know the way maker for yourself. God will tell you to move and get out of a situation before it can take you by surprise. God will tell you to look for another job or a new place to live because he knows somethings are about to change or take place. God will say to you “don’t do that” because he knows that decision will be one you will come to regret later. He can only talk to those who knows his voice and his language. Do you know his voice? Learning his voice will be the best thing to ever happen to you, I promise. So when I say it could have been me, it’s true. Then I learned the voice of God, so that i may know what to do and what not to do. What to say and what not to say. Where to go and where not to go. All these things determine our out come in life.
So again, I encourage you to get a personal relationship with your heavenly father. Let him lead and guide you, so it won’t be you. Be blessed family and friends. God is a God of his word. He truly will supply all of our needs. Just trust him, ask him to prove himself to you, that you may know for yourself. Just remember, Gods going to do just what he said he will do.
