Stop, Drop and Pray

Hello my blog family and friends, sorry for no post last week and a late post this week. I had some health issues and needed some down time to recover, but all is better and back at what I was commissioned to do. With all the chaos that’s surrounding us, all the senseless murders, sex trafficking, parents being deported and children being left alone, depression, suicide, homeless population rapidly growing, people living pay check to pay check, this list can go on and on if I wanted to. This is what we face daily, so much until it leaves us drained. We need to stop re-evaluate, reboot, and re-charge. We need to stop, drop and pray. Not just for our own families, our own community, or for our own race. We need to stop, drop and pray for OUR NATION as a whole.

We are failing as a people when we limit ourselves to pray for us and no more. To pray only when things are going wrong. To pray always asking and coming with our hands out. We as a body need prayer. We all need Gods grace and mercy. Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Asians, Latino, Indians, and what ever other race you want to name. We all need God. We all need and desire his help. We all have lost loved ones, we all grieve, we all at some point have been hurt and lost. Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, why is race the deciding factor. The phrase “the white man” or using the “N” word should no longer be a part of our vocabulary. The word of God says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  God said if my people, he didn’t specify any particular ethnic group. Race don’t mean a hill of beans to God. Living free from sin, living in truth, and walking in love is what matters to God. We all need to turn from our wicked ways, then he will heal our land. We all making a big deal about prayer being in school. Is prayer in your home? I’m not talking about you saying “now I lay me down to sleep”no ! I’m talking about some serious get on your knees, lifting up your hands and pouring out your heart to God praying. When we begin to do this we know that the deciding factor is left up to God. Does racism exist? Yes it does! But the power of God is stronger. Always remember Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” If we band together as one and pray, we can turn things around unless God is a liar and we know that’s not true. This fight is not with flesh and blood, it’s with Satan, the one who breeds and loves hate. We are so obsessed with race, we argue over the race of Jesus. Now you know that’s a shame. Why does it matter? For Jesus to give his life so that I can be saved, healed, delivered, and free! He could be green with a red line down the center of his body and I wouldn’t be bothered at all. He gave his life! So why would you or any one else let race be a deciding factor? Why are we arguing over the race of Jesus, the one who walks in love and peace for all man kind? We serve the God I Am! Meaning he is what ever you need him to be. A healer, deliverer, provider, comforter, way maker, joy, life and what ever else you need him to be. when we are in need of these things I promise you, race does not matter.

So again, let’s all stop, drop and pray for OUR NATION as a whole. There are so many lost hurting people in this world. Pray for someone else family so that your family may be healed and delivered. Pray that our youths may turn from all of their evil ways. Pray that adults will become role models and lead by example again. Pray that Pastors and ministers will truly have the need of the people placed before them daily. Pray that we all gain more spiritual wisdom and knowledge that we may be pleasing in the sight of the Lord. Be blessed and be a blessing my blog family and friends.
