Who You Looking At?

Hello my blog family and friends!! I pray today you have peace of mind, a smile upon your face, and joy like a river in your heart. God has been so good to us, we couldn’t thank him enough if we tried. We serve an awesome God, a forgiving God, a loving God, a God of truth and understanding. God created us in his image after his likeness according to Genesis 1:26. Are you forgiving, loving, truthful, and understanding? Are you representing God to the best of your ability? When you look in the mirror what do you see? Who you looking at? Do you see the image and likeness of God? The world should be able to see a difference in the children of God. 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Are you living a peculiar life or do you blend in with everyone else? Again, When you look in the mirror, who you looking at?

We as Christians are to carry ourselves as Christ. To be a Christian means to be Christ like. We should uplift one another when we know someone is hurting. We are to love those who offend us. We are to forgive those who plot against us. We should be truthful and be a man or woman of our word. We should be understanding and not so quick to judge. But yet we join in on the conversation of backbiting, remain tight lipped when we see others plotting, lie like it’s the right thing to do, and judge others like we have never done wrong, and we still believe we are living a Christ like life. When you look in the mirror, who you looking at? Do you see Christ? This is not to be harsh or mean, it’s something to think about. Not just for you, but for me as well. At this point I’m crying out change me oh Lord! I’m quoting John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease. I must change my ways, my way of thinking. I must think before I act or speak on a situation. I must watch the tone of my voice when responding to others. We need to daily ask ourselves “What would Jesus do?” I must remember the grace and mercy God gives me before I decide to judge or look down on someone else. Lord teach me to do unto others as I would have them do unto me, not as they do to me. That’s the prayer we need to pray and it’s a hard one but it can be done. When I look in the mirror, I want to see the image and likeness of God our father. Who do you want to see?

Before we leave our home everyday, we should look in the mirror and ask ourselves this one question. Who you looking at? Let the question be your daily motivation to be who God created you to be. We are not a perfect people, but daily we should strive for perfection. Strive daily to walk as close to the life of Christ as possible. Be blessed my blog family and friends. Let’s enjoy this life of Christ together and be an encouragement to one another.
